Helen L. Lloyd, 75, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Friday, November 19, 2021. Her memorial service will be held Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at 5:00pm in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Rd., North Charleston, SC. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place at a later date. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Northwoods Chapel.

Helen was born December 29, 1945 in Howland, Maine, daughter of the late Richard P. Grover and Cora M. McPheters. She was an administrative assistant at the University of Maine and an assistant to the Athletic Director at The Citadel. Helen was an easy going woman who loved her family and was all about her grandchildren. She enjoyed shopping with her friends and loved to cook for her family, with her specialty being baked macaroni and cheese.

She is survived by her son, Jason (Jennifer) Lloyd of North Charleston, SC; grandchildren, Max, Chloe and Wyatt Lloyd; two sisters, Cheryl (Neal) McPherson of North Charleston and Ethel (Sam) York of Maine; four brothers, Gene Grover of Florida, Bill (Abbey) Grover of California, Lynn (Charlene) Grover of Pennsylvania and Tom (Althea) Grover of Maine.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings; brothers Calvin and Richard and sister, Martha.

Flowers will be accepted, or a donation may be made in her name to Coastal Shores Baptist Church, 8310 Dorchester Rd. Charleston, SC 29418.
